- Mukti Bahini guerrillas start to plant mines on the roads and highways, a Pak army spokesperson admits in Dhaka. He also admits the guerrilla attacks on Pak troops, Razakars and pro-government militias.
- William Rogers, the US foreign secretary urges the Congress to continue supporting “Pakistan’s development”. “We urged Pakistan government to create such environment that the refugees can return home,” he says.
