Road crashes kill two, injure five
Two persons were killed and five others injured in separate road accidents in the country yesterday and Friday.
Our Jamalpur correspondent reports, a schoolboy died when an oncoming power tiller hit his bicycle on Bhelamari-Chikajani union parishad road in Bhelamari Bazar area in Dewanganj upazila yesterday
The victim was Royhan, 10, son of Badsha Miah of Barkhal village in the upazila, a class-III student of Surjamukhi Shishu Niketan.
Our Chittagong correspondent adds, a person was killed while another injured as a human hauler tumbled and fell on the former while hit the latter's rickshaw at Lalkhan Bazar intersection in Chittagong city yesterday.
The human hauler overturned after being hit by a bus and police arrested the bus driver.
The deceased was Md Imon, 10, son of Obaidur Rahman. Injured Md Anis, the rickshaw puller, was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Our Narail correspondent adds, four people were injured when a three-wheeler carrying them fell into a roadside ditch after being hit by a pick-up van on Narail-Jessore road at Bou Bazar on Friday.
The injured were admitted to Narail Sadar Hospital.
