Three people were killed and six were injured in road accidents in the country yesterday.
Our Kishoreganj correspondent reports, a six-year old girl died when a battery-run rickshaw hit her on Kishoreganj-Chamrabondor road in Rouha area of Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj.
Lamia, 6, daughter of Mustofa Mia of the upazila, was playing on the road beside her home.
Our Kushtia correspondent reports, a health assistant of Gualondo upazila-family planning died when a human-hauler hit him from behind on Daulatdia-Khulna highway in Signboard area of the upazila.
The dead is Arshad Ali, 50, of the upazila.
In another incident a fruit trader died when a Faridpur-bound truck ran him over at Alfadanga intersection on Rajbari-Faridpur highway in Rajbari.
Saheb Ali, 50, of Komorkandi village of Faridpur, was going to Faridpur with mango from Rajshahi.
Our Munshiganj correspondent adds six people were injured in a head-on collision between a sand-laden truck and auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Muktarpur-Tongibari road in Banikyapara area of the district.
The injured were taken to Munshiganj General Hospital.
