Jubo League leader expelled for extortion

A top leader of the ruling party’s youth wing Jubo League who was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion this week during extortion was expelled today.

Rezaul Karim Reza, 45, acting general sectary of the Jubo League’s Dhaka South unit, has been permanently expelled from Jubo League for extortion, Iqbal Mahmud, publications secretary of the party, told The Daily Star.

Members of Rab-10 caught Reza red handed while extorting money from a shop at Tikatuli market on July 9, 2015. But later he was released.
