Nominations of 7 DSCC candidates declared legal

Dhaka South City Corporation’s returning office has declared legal the nomination papers of all the seven candidates in the DSCC mayoral polls.

The seven valid candidates are AL’s Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, BNP’s Ishraque Hossain, Jatiya Party’s Mohammad Saifuddin, Journalist Md Akhtaruzzaman of Bangladesh Congress, Bahrane Sultan Bahar of National People’s Party, Abdus Samad of Ganofront, Islami Andolan Bangladesh candidate Abdur Rahman.

DSCC’s Assistant Returning Officer Motiur Rahman confirmed it to The Daily Star.

The DSCC and Dhaka North City Corporation (DSCC) mayoral polls are scheduled to be held on January 30.
