Kamrul, Saifuddin JP’s candidates for Dhaka city polls

Jatiya Party has nominated Brig General (retd) Kamrul Islam for Dhaka north and Haji Saifuddin Ahmed Milan for south city corporation election scheduled to be held on January 30.

JP took the decision at a meeting held at the party's Banani office in Dhaka this afternoon, said a press release.

Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda announced the schedule at his office on December 22.

According to the polls schedule, the last date for filing nomination papers is December 31.

The returning officers will scrutinise the nomination papers on January 2, and the last date for withdrawing candidacy is January 9.
