Parking on walkway video goes viral!
A video story on illegal car parking on Dhaka's walkway went viral on the Internet since its uploading last evening.
Titled 'Cars on the walkways', the story shows vehicles parked on the footpath from Farmgate to Saarc Fountain forcing pedestrians to undergo great difficulties in walking by the VIP road that was visibly crammed with hundreds of vehicles.
Besides commoners, government high-ups, journalists and even law enforcers are found to be breaking the laws.
The video recorded 5,105 views till 6:00pm in 24 hours since its uploading on Facebook yesterday. On YouTube, it was viewed 324 times during the period.
It reached to almost 33,760 people on Facebook alone, with 34 shares and more than 300 likes.
Many people, who suffer the problem of scarcity of adequate walking space due to illegal car parking, expressed utter disgust due to the difficulties it caused the pedestrians while some others suggested that there should be adequate parking space for cars.

"Law enforcement people only take action when there is a VIP movement," Arifur Rahman, a Facebook user, said.
"Our government should take action about these illegal parking," Bappi Khan, another Facebook user said.
"Honestly it’s not utterly the fault of the drivers. Where is the place to park? There should be enough space beside road to park cars which should be specified," Fahim Ahmed, a Daily Star fan, added to the comment thread.
Touching the same point, a YouTube user using the ID 'Aumi J' wrote: "I'd like to see TDS focus on the problem that is the severe lack of parking spaces in Dhaka city, let alone safe ones, instead of just focusing on the cars parked on footpath. Every problem exists because of another problem. If you cannot or do not show the root of the problems and do not provide suggestions to solve the problems, then it's all just in vein."
