Four people including a child were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a three-wheeler auto-rickshaw in Narayanganj on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway this morning.

The truck collided with the three-wheeler in Karnogop, Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj, at 8:15am leaving four passengers dead and four others injured, said Md Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Narayanganj Highway Police.

Three people died on the spot, whilst the fourth victim succumbed from injuries on the way to a local hospital, the OC told The Daily Star Online.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. Further details were awaited.
