8 'robbers' arrested with sharp weapons in Ctg

Police arrested eight alleged robbers with sharp weapons in No-15 Ghat area of Chittagong city on Saturday night.
The arrestees are Sohag Hawladar, 28, of Bagerhat, Kazi Md Jony Hossain, 25 of Noakhali, Abdus Salam, 20, of Jhalokati, Rubel Sharif, 24, of Pirojpur, Muktar Hossain, 23, of Chandpur, Sohel Rana, 28, Md Kayes, 24, and Saimon Sadek, 28, of Chittagong.
On information, police conducted drive and arrested them while they were taking preparation for conducting robbery in the area, said Sub-Inspector of Patenga Police Station Monirul Islam.
