One held with stolen medicines

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) recovered huge amount of stolen government medicine, worth Tk 2 lakh, and arrested a man in this connection in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi yesterday.

The arrestee -- Kaisar Hossain Titu, 29, of Pirojpur village -- was arrested with Phensedyl two years ago, said Rab officials.

On information, a team of Rab-5 conducted a drive in Titu's house and recovered the medicine.

Titu and his gang erase the brand name from the medicine cover and sell them in various local markets. Sometimes they exchange these medicines with drugs, the officials added.
