CIMMYT Director General Martin Kropff due today

Dr Martin Kropff, newly appointed director general of CIMMYT International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center, will arrive in the capital today on a five-day official visit, said a press release.

During his visit, Kropff will meet the minister and secretary to the agriculture ministry as well as officials in different agricultural organisations.

CIMMYT, headquartered in Mexico, plays a crucial role in wheat and maize research.
