83 police officials promoted

A day after a major reshuffle in the police department, the home ministry yesterday promoted 83 police officials ranked from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Additional Deputy Inspector General (Adl-DIG).
In an order yesterday, the home ministry promoted five Assistant Inspector General (AIG) to Adl-DIG, 16 Additional Superintendent of Police (Adl-SP) to SP, 28 ASP to Adl-SP and 34 ASP to senior ASP.
They promoted police officials have also been transferred to different metropolitan cities, divisional ranges and district level.
Earlier on Monday, in a major reshuffle in police administration, the home ministry transferred 55 senior police officers, including three additional inspectors general of police (Adl-IGPs), commissioners of five metropolitan cities, three deputy inspectors general (DIGs) of three divisional ranges.
