Criminals looted valuables worth Tk 5 lakh from a house after doping five members of a family at Ganganandapur village in Jhikorgachha upazila on Sunday night.

Relatives and locals said, a gang sprayed some kind of chemical in the house of Abdus Samad, 60, at the village, after which all the family members fell unconscious around 10:30pm.

Later, the criminals entered the house and looted Tk 1 lakh cash, six tolas of gold, five mobile phones and some other valuables.
