Pakistan National Awami Party President Khan Abdul Wali Khan issues a statement in Peshawar condemning the plot to assasinate Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib and calls upon the government to unearth the conspirators involved.
President Yahya Khan expresses relief because the plot to assassinate Bangabandhu failed. In a letter to Bangabandhu, Yahya says he is hurt to have learnt of the attempt. He thanked the almighty to have saved Bangabandhu.
