Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan touts his next film "Ghajini" as his first "out-and-out action" flick and promises it will show him flexing his muscles like never before.
"After 'Faana' in 2006, ‘Ghajini’ will be my first commercial entertainer in a long time. It will also be my first out-and-out action film", Aamir told reporters at the trailer release of the movie recently.
Aamir holds the action sequences in "Ghajini" as something special as the film shows him in a muscular physical frame for which he worked out rigorously for nearly a year.
"I began my work-outs during the post-production work of 'Taare Zameen Par.' I exercised at least three to four hours every day," the actor said.
Another reason why the action scenes in "Ghajini" are special for Aamir is because he had suffered muscle-tear injury during the shoot of the film in Hyderabad, which delayed completion and release of the film.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, "Ghajini," is a remake of Tamil film, which was inspired by Christopher Nolan's psychological thriller "Memento." The film also stars Jiah Khan among others.
Aamir is on a high these days after the success of his directorial debut "Taare Zameen Par." The film has been selected as India's official entry for the Oscars.
