Alvarez ‘hungry for more’ as Club World Cup approaches

Argentine forward Julian Alvarez has already lifted the FIFA World Cup, a treble with Manchester City, and six trophies in total -- all by the age of 25. But his appetite for silverware remains insatiable.
"I like winning and I'm always hungry for more," Alvarez told FIFA in a recent interview.
"For me, it's all about trying to win, taking home silverware and fighting for the badge to reach the pinnacle of what can be achieved."
That relentless drive pushed Alvarez to leave Manchester City -- where he scored 36 goals and notched 19 assists in two years -- for a more prominent role at Atletico de Madrid.
"I've won a lot of trophies at a young age, but I want to keep challenging myself," he added.
Since joining Atleti, Alvarez has thrived under Diego Simeone's intense system.
"Simeone's ethos is almost a way of life," he said. "It's about leaving everything out there, playing right up to the final whistle and giving our all."
He has become a central figure in the Spanish capital, scoring 29 goals this season -- more than any other player at the club -- and playing more minutes than any other outfield teammate.
Now, with the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 in the USA fast approaching, Alvarez is focused on capping a stellar debut season in Spain with another title.
"I'm really looking forward to it because it's going to feature the best teams in the world," he said.
