Three killed, seven injured in Khulna road crash

Three people were killed and seven others injured in a head-on collision between a human hauler and an oil tanker lorry in Khulna's Dumuria upazila this morning.
The identities of the deceased and the injured could not be confirmed immediately.
Sub-Inspector Shimul Mondal of Kharnia Highway Police confirmed the fatalities.
According to police and locals, a human hauler carrying passengers from Dumuria collided with an oil tanker lorry heading towards Chuknagar around 10:30am in front of the Dumuria Fire Service Station.
The crash left the human hauler driver and two passengers dead on the spot, while four other passengers were seriously injured.
On receiving information, police from Kharnia Highway Police Station and firefighters rushed to the scene and took the injured to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Traffic on the road came to a halt following the accident.
Normal traffic movement on the road resumed after police and fire service personnel quickly began work to clear the area.
