Arabian iftar buffet at Watercress

To pay homage to the month of Ramadan, fine dining food joint Watercress have launched an Arabian-themed iftar buffet and dinner spread, priced at Tk.1495++ per person. Presenting a selection of dishes from all ends of the Middle East, Watercress urges you to try something new this Ramadan and acquire the taste for Arabian cuisine.
According to Watercress's executive sous chef, Arabian food is an excellent option for Ramadan due to its health benefits. Compared to our regular iftar items like “piyaju” and “beguni”, Arabian food is high-protein with less volume of spices and usually baked or stir-fried rather than deep-fried.
The buffet consists of soups, salads and cold starters such as Moroccan lamb soup, beef nehari, couscous salad, etc; hot starters like Lebanese chicken samosa, eggplant parmigiana, fish fingers and so on; the main course includes Kabsa rice, chicken biryani, Palestine grilled fish, Persian grilled prawns, Syrian beef stew, to name a few; and for dessert, you can choose from basbussa, mahalabia, kulfi, jilabi and lots more. The menu rotates every day, so there will always be new items to surprise your taste buds. Although an iftar buffet, the portions and food items presented can well enough be a full-fledged meal for dinner, so do not hesitate to come in with friends and family for a grand feast this Ramadan.
