Want to reelect Hasina through ballot: Cuet VC at BCL meeting

Prof Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, vice-chancellor of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet), yesterday vowed to elect Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina again in the next national election.

"We want to elect Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina again through ballot in the next elections," the VC said in a meeting organised by Cuet unit BCL at Cuet central auditorium yesterday morning, reports our Chattogram staff correspondent.

The VC said, "We have to stand against the evil forces like the student did in 1971."

Addressing the meeting as the chief guest VC Rafiqul said domestic and foreign evil forces are spreading false propaganda against the democratic government in such a way that it seems that there is nothing good in our country.

"We have everything, an independent-sovereign state, our own constitution, judicial infrastructure, election commission, and advanced education system," he added.
