Pori Moni starrer ‘Maa’ releasing on Mother’s Day

Taking inspiration from her real life, Pori Moni has played the role of a mother in the film, "Maa", which has been directed by Aranyo Anawer. The film will be released this May 19 on the occasion of Mother's Day.

"Maa" will also star Azad Abul Kalam, Farzana Chobi, Sazu Khadem and Robena Jui, among many others.

Talking about the film, Pori Moni said, "I played the role of a mother in the film 'Maa', for the sake of the character. I am against the idea that a heroine cannot play a mother. I don't know if people will like this film or not, and whether the audience will go to watch it.  But in my acting career, my personal life and over my entire journey, I want to keep this role framed. I want to gift it to my son, Rajya, and tell him that you were with me too."
