Lawyers’ clerks inevitable part of judicial system: Speaker

Jatitya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today said the lawyers' clerks are a very inevitable part of the judicial system.
"Litigant people's getting justice has become easier as the lawyers' clerks perform duties with a serving mindset. They have been working with honesty and sincerity for a long period of time in order to resolve the legal problems of people," she said.
She made the remark while speaking as chief guest at the fifth convention of Bangladesh Lawyers' Clerks Association (BLAA) at the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) premises this afternoon.
The speaker said it should be addressed so that the lawyers' clerks can discharge their duties within the proper legal framework and their livelihoods are improved.
Speaking as a special guest, Law Minister Anisul Huq assured the lawyers' clerks that a law will be formulated soon in order to recognise their profession.
