Md Kamrul Ahsan, additional director general (infrastructure) of Bangladesh Railway, has been appointed as the director general of the state-run transport agency.

He will replace Dhirendra Nath Mazumder.

The railways ministry issued a circular in this regard today. The order will take effect on December 11, it said.
