New executive committee of China-Bangladesh Friendship Center formed

A new executive committee of the China-Bangladesh Friendship Center (CBFC) has been formed with Chinese national Guo Pei Lin Peter as president and Dr Fakhrul Islam Babu as general secretary.

The new committee is made up of different professionals from China and Bangladesh, according to a press release issued in this regard.

The selection of the committee for CBFC for 2022-2024 was held in a virtual meeting on April 20.

A 36-member committee was elected by direct votes by a 14-member convening committee headed by Fakrul Islam Babu.

Shanta Maria of China Media Group (CMG) Bangla has been elected vice president of the new committee.

China-Bangladesh Friendship Center has been working for a long time to develop China-Bangladesh friendship.
