The ferry and launch services resumed on the Shimulia-Banglabazar route today after remaining halted for around one and half hours due to inclement weather.
More than 300 vehicles were stranded on the ghats both sides of the route in the meantime, reports our Munshiganj correspondent quoting Md Shafiqul Islam, deputy general manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), Shimulia.
The ferry services were halted around 1:15 pm and the launch service was closed around 12:45 said the BIWTC DGM.
