We are not taking Bangladesh lightly: Babar

Despite whitewashing hosts Bangladesh in the T20I series, Babar Azam's men will not be taking the Tigers lightly when they face each other in the first of the two-match Test series in Chattogram tomorrow.
After a stellar run in the ICC T20I World Cup, Pakistan continued their outstanding form against Bangladesh as they won all the matches in the three-match T20I series. Still, skipper Babar mentioned that the Tigers could be a difficult opponent in their home conditions.
"The difference is the conditions," Babar said. "This is their turf, they will play in their own conditions. We are not taking them lightly," he added while acknowledging Pakistan will be playing against a young Bangladesh side.
"They are missing out on a few experienced cricketers, some cricketers are in and out of the team. They are a young side.
"But those who will be playing, have the experience of playing in such conditions. It's a bit difficult for us to adjust quickly and that's when they can give us a tough time," Babar added.
Pakistan played their last Test match against West Indies in August earlier this year. Babar accepted the difficulties in transitioning to the longer version of the game as they had only three days since their last T20I game.
"It's not easy to shift gears, as there was little time in between. There was a travel day, then only two days of proper training ahead of the game.
"But as professionals, we have to switch on early and get into the Test mode. We have played white-ball cricket for almost two and half months but now we have to switch to red-ball very quickly. We must keep patience," the skipper added while showing confidence in the strength of his squad.
"Our experienced bowlers will help and spinners are always key in Asian conditions. We have top-class spinners and they are playing for a long time. Our advantage is that many of us are in a nice rhythm and we need to carry the momentum in the Test series," Babar concluded.
