The authorities of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) has cancelled its winter holidays for the academic year 2021-22 -- to make up for the losses due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The decision came at a Deans' Committee meeting with university Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Hasibur Rashid in the chair today, said Mohammad Ali, assistant director (Public Relations) of the university.

He said the university authority cancelled the winter holidays -- from December 19 to 30 -- to compensate for the losses caused due to closure during the pandemic, reports our Dinajpur correspondent.
