High-fiber diet may aid heart attack survivors
Heart attack survivors who get the recommended amount of fiber in their diets may live longer, according to a new study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ).
Many studies have found that fiber lovers tend to have a lower risk of developing heart disease in the first place. Experts said the new findings suggest fiber — especially from whole grains — has benefits after a heart attack as well.

Too much or too little sleep tied to memory problems in older women
Seniors who slept too little or too much during mid-life or after are at increased risk for memory problems, as are those whose sleep habits changed over time, according to a new study published in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society.
