A warm welcoming smile, notable screen presence, and life-like expression – this is what the audience expects when Yash Rohan appears on the screen.

Be it the character of Apu, a love-struck young lad in Giasuddin Selim's "Swapnajaal" or Ratul, a simple but arrogant boy-next-door, in Mizanur Rahman Aryan's "Networker Baire", Yash manages to drench himself in every shade he portrays.

In a candid chat with The Daily Star, the actor talks about his puja plans, upcoming releases and more.

How did you spend Durga Puja this year?

I travelled to my grandfather's house in Netrokona with my friends. We have an amazing balcony by the river banks, where we witnessed the bittersweet scene of Bishorjon.

The actor loves to spend Durga Puja in his home town of Netrokona.

What is something that you really miss from your experience of Puja in Netrokona when you can't make it to your hometown sometimes?

There is this amazing olive pickle that you can find in all the Puja mandaps in Netrokona, and that's something I dearly miss during this festive season if I somehow fail to make it home. This time, I will be having it for sure!

What are you currently busy with?

I just finished shooting for the government grant project "Deshantor" directed by Ashutosh Sujon. I will be string the screen with noted artistes like Moushumi and Ahmed Rubel among many others.

My film "Poran" is in post-production and we hope to release it theatrically soon.

Are you looking forward to any OTT projects?

I am in talks for a few but nothing has been finalised yet. However, I do look forward to grab a few as OTT as I want to experience different working patterns which will nurture me as an artiste while give me more exposure to new knowledge in this regard.
