DPS STS Community Club spreads joy among the needy

A group of young students from DPS STS School recently distributed relief to the underprivileged community. The DPS STS Community Club handed out daily essentials and food among underprivileged families and children at an orphanage, 'Families for Children', to make a difference and bring smiles to their faces amidst these tiring times of the pandemic.
The students collected donations of lentil, oil, rice, salt, and sugar among other necessities. In total, they gathered around 210 kg flour, 71 kg potatoes, 248.5 kg lentil, 1189 kg rice, 60 kg salt, 30 kg sugar, 10 kg powdered milk, and 2 kg puffed rice among others.
They donated the provisions to the orphanage and installed a new water-filter. The members of the community club also engaged with the children at the orphanage. The children poured out their hearts while dancing, drawing, and even playing a round of cricket with them.
They have joined hands Bidyanondo Foundation, owing to an identical purpose. As the Community Club was left with surplus donations, they shared 500 kg rice, 100 kg lentils, 100 kg sugar, 200 liter oil, and 100 packets of vermicelli with Bidyanondo Foundation, which were rationed among 100 families.
A sense of responsibility to play their bit for the society has now been inculcated among the members of the Community Club, and so, they will keep dedicating themselves to community service and strive to extend their all-out support for the betterment of the needy as the students believe that they have miles to go before they can rest.
