Bangladeshi-French film maker Amirul Arham’s “Antemanha” released worldwide

Etoile de la SCAM award winning Bangladeshi-born French producer, screenwriter, director and poet, Amirul Arham's full-length feature film "Antemanha" is set to premiere online today on the France based filmmakers and writers association Scam. The film features Franco-German poet Antemanha, who not only reads poetry but also embellishes it with the 7th art form and plastic art form.

Produced by Night Lights Productions, "Antemanha" is directed and edited by Amirul Arham. The film will originally be released in French. However, it will be available in English and German languages in January 2021, informs the director.

Poet and musician Antemanha presents poetry on flute, saxophone, harp, piano or various musical instruments. Through musical improvisations with skilled instrumentalists and artists, she has innovatively created a varied canvas in different tones and colors that captivated the viewer's eyes.

The film documents various stances that narrate Antemanha's perception of reality in the context of surrealism and the 7th art movement. In "Antemanha", the audience will see how in a segment, Antemanha loses herself in the deep exuberance of emotions and feelings and in the frenzy of creation.

"She again becomes vocal in her demands for social justice or in protest of political imbalances, and bursts into loud shouts of "Faceless Cries" with her poem of the same name," shares Amirul Arham, who is also the writer and cinematographer of the production.

The filmmaker looks forward to releasing more such ventures in the future. "For "Antemanha", the camera portrays a subjective movement with words, rhythmic metaphors and spaces. Thus it will have a new angle for the audience to explore," he concludes. The film will premiered yesterday at 10:30 pm (BDT) on www.scam.fr.
