A sixty-five-year-old man was killed in a road accident in the capital's Jatrabari area this evening.

The deceased was identified as Joynal Abedin, 65, a resident of Jatrabari's Dania.

Abedina was hit by a vehicle when he was crossing the road in the area, said Md Mohsin Ali, sub-inspector of Jatrabari Police Station.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, DMCH Police Outpost In-Charge (Inspector) Bachchu Mia said.
