Prof Lutfar reappointed DIU VC

Prof Lutfar Rahman has been appointed as the vice chancellor (VC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) for the second time.

He successfully completed his first tenure as DIU VC from 2011-2015.

An official memo issued by Ministry of Education declared Prof Lutfar's appointment for the next four years, as per approval of Bangladesh president.

Prof Lutfar started his career as a scientific officer at Atomic Energy Centre Dhaka in 1967. He started his teaching career as an assistant professor at Department of Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering of DU in 1984.

He was appointed founding vice chancellor of Begum Rokeya University in 2008. He returned to DU in 2009, and resumed his duty as dean of DIU's Faculty of Science and Information Technology.
