Bangladesh won their second match in the ongoing U-19 cricket World Cup, defeating Scotland by seven wickets at Potchefstroom today, courtesy of a hattrick from left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan.

Scotland won the toss and chose to bat first but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In the 24th over, Rakibul removed Kess Sajjad, Lyle Robertson and Charlie Peet to bag a hattrick as Scotland crumbled to 89 all out. Rakibul finished with four for 20 while Shoriful Islam bagged two wickets for 13 runs.

In reply, Bangladesh won with 200 deliveries to spare and seven wickets in hand. Towhid Hridoy and and Mahmudul Hasan Hoy featured in a 56-run fourth-wicket partnership to take Bangladesh to victory.

Bangladesh are top of the table and will make it through to the quarterfinals before even playing their final group match if Pakistan beat Zimbabwe tomorrow.
