Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary today asked the police forces to be pro-people by earning their faiths and providing good services.

The IGP came up with the call while inaugurating a police dormitory at Tejgaon Police Station in Dhaka this afternoon.

Claiming that police has announced a war against militancy and terrorism, Patwary said, “We have become able to eliminate militancy and our role in dealing with the issue has been praised in the country as well as in the world.”

Like the militancy, police have also announced war against drug, he said adding, “We will win the war along with the people.”
