Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti Elections to be held soon

Discussions are currently underway at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC), regarding the candidacy of Bangladesh Cholochitro Shilpi Samiti Elections. 21 notable personalities from the film industry are going to contest at this year’s elections. 

The proposed date for the elections is October 18. However, the date will be announced officially after the meeting of the existing committee on October 4, according to BFDC. After the voting process ends, the ballot papers will be collected and sent to BFDC for a fair evaluation.

Moushumi and Misha Shawdagor will be running for president this year. “I am currently selecting my panelists, and I assure you that people will not be disappointed with my choices,” said Moushumi. She is the first female presidential candidate to contend for the post in the organisation’s history. 

“Being the current president, I have tried to support the panelists to the best of my ability. I am excited to be contesting against my dear friend, Moushumi this year,” said Shawdagor.

Ilias Kanchan will be the election commissioner. Existing general Secretary Zayed Khan will be contesting for the same position again.

The other probable candidates for the elections are Poppy, Riaz, and Purnima.
