Panel formed to amend book building method

The stock market regulator has formed a committee to give recommendation on amendment to the book building method, a tool used to raise capital from public.

Some institutional investors have misused the method to set higher premiums, which has prompted the regulator to bring an amendment.

Rules may change for raising fund thru' placement shares

Stock regulator yesterday formed a panel and urged it to recommend how to amend rules of fund raising by non-listed companies through placement shares. The comittee was formed as the board of Dhaka bourse has recently urged the regulator to increase the lock-in period on placement shares when they got listed.
