2-hour outage spreads panic in Chattogram

Chattogram and some of its neighbouring upazilas yesterday faced over two hours of power outage due to some technical glitches in the national grid.

“The outage began at 10:00pm and stayed for a little more than two hours,” Prabir Kumar, chief engineer of Power Development Board in Chattogram told The Daily Star over phone last night.

“Locals went into a state of panic since the outage took place just hours after the Biman flight “hijacking” attempt. However, there were no other problems,” he added.
