Bodies of 2 women recovered

Police in Narayanganj yesterday recovered bodies of two women from two separate places in Fatullah.

Fatullah Model Police Station Sub-Inspector Aminul Islam said, police recovered the body of a 22-year old unidentified woman from Bholail area, upon information from locals. There were no injury marks on the body.

Police said criminals might have suffocated her to death.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station Monzur Quader said police recovered the body of Kulsum Akter, 25, from a rented house in Dhalipara area, after being informed by locals. There was a bruise mark around her neck. Her husband Md Mamun Miah, 32, has fled after the incident.

Kulsum, originally from Bhola, was a worker in a local garments factory. Quoting locals, the OC said the couple had an argument the previous night, and her husband might have murdered her.

Monzur Quader also said two separate cases would be filed over the incidents.
