Plastic factory worker killed 'by colleague'

A worker was killed as he was hit reportedly by his co-worker at a plastic factory at Chawk Bazar in Dhaka early yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Rubel, 25, from Begumganj upazila in Noakhali district.

In-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost Bachchu Mia said Rubel had an argument with his co-worker Alam at the factory on Urdu Road around 4:00am.

At one stage, Alam hit Rubel in the head with an object, injuring him severely.

Rubel was taken to the DMCH around 5:00am where on-duty doctors declared him dead.

The body was sent to morgue for autopsy, Bachchu added.
