3 Swechha-sebak League men arrested

Police yesterday arrested three activists of Swechhasebak League, on charges of involvement in the killing of an auto-rickshaw driver in Sylhet city on Sunday night.

The knife used to kill the victim, Noyon Miah, was recovered from one of the arrestees, said Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Selim Miah.

At around 11:00pm on Sunday, Noyon was stabbed by criminals in his vehicle near Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Police said Noyon died at the hospital due to excessive bleeding.
