'You can't cover the sun with a finger'

Real Madrid are starting feel the gap left by star forward Cristiano Ronaldo with goalkeeper Keylor Navas claiming that the glare of the sun cannot be covered with just a finger after Madrid’s shock defeat to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
The goalkeeper however reiterated that Madrid cannot live in the past and must move on from the Cristiano Ronaldo era.
"Cristiano left the bar very high at Real Madrid," he said. "You cannot cover the sun with a finger
"He made many goals while he was here, but it's already the past and we cannot live in the past."
Marca ran a story titled ‘This was one of those matches Cristiano Ronaldo used to win’, where they said ‘It can also be a coincidence that this Real Madrid side has the lowest goalscoring average of the last 10 years.’
Real Madrid have now gone three games without a goal and the pressure on the squad is starting to tell. They lost to Sevilla 3-0 before a goalless draw with Atletico Madrid in the derby. Yesterday’s result, in a competition which they have dominated for the past three seasons, might set the cat running amongst the pigeons.
It marked the first time since 2007 that Madrid have failed to score in three consecutive games, while they hit the woodwork three times in Russia.
Navas said: “We are sad because they had one chance and took it.
“We made some stellar chances, but could not get it in. In every game you want to score goals and we had some chances to do so. We were unlucky.
Cristiano meanwhile was serving suspension for his new club Juventus, having been red-carded during the game against Valencia on matchweek one.
