Sheikh Hasina Dharla Bridge opens today

The second Dharla Bridge, named Sheikh Hasina Dharla Bridge, over the Dharla river here will be opened today through video conferencing from Gono Bhaban by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said Deputy Commissioner Sultana Parvin.

Work of the bridge started on April 24 in 2014 by Simplex-Navana JV (joint venture) construction of Dhaka while Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) implemented it.  

The bridge was built at a cost of Tk 188.17 crore, said LGED engineer Md Sharifuzzaman.
