HC gets 18 addl judges

Eighteen additional judges have been appointed to the High Court Division of Supreme Court, raising the number of HC judges to 98.

The president made the appointments for two years in line with article 98 of the constitution.

The law ministry issued a gazette notification yesterday, said ministry's Deputy Secretary Mahbuber Rahman Sarker. The chief justice will administer the oath at 3:00pm today at the Supreme Court Judges' Lounge.
