Road crashes kill 3

At least three persons were killed and four injured in road accidents across the country yesterday.

In Fairdpur, rickshaw-van puller Afjal Biswas, 50, was killed when a covered van ran him over in Madhukhali upazila on Dhaka-Khulna highway, reports our correspondent.

The incident left another injured who has been taken to a local hospital.

In Chittagong, college student Shahed Ali, 22, was killed by a truck in Hathazari upazila on Chittagong-Khagrachhari highway, UNB reports.

The three riders on the motorcycle were severely injured and were rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced Shahed dead.

The other two were shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile in Dinajpur, an unidentified man was killed and three others were injured when a truck hit a human haulier at Baluadanga, UNB reports.

Police said a Biral-bound truck hit a human haulier around 9:30am, leaving an unidentified man dead on spot. The incident left three others injured.
