HSC exam on wrong question set
Dhaka Education Board has asked the secretary of an examination centre in Jamalpur town to show cause for providing wrong question set to 290 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) candidates while 25 other candidates in Manikganj submitted a similar complaint to the board.
The show cause notice, signed by board Chairman Ziaul Haque, was served through its website to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman College Principal Tariqul Islam Taslim, also secretary of the examination centre, for providing a wrong multiple choice question (MCQ) set of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to 290 examinees on Monday, reports our Jamalpur correspondent.
Principal Taslim said the mistake occurred as they could not understand the meaning of code written on the envelope.
Our Manikganj Correspondent adds: Twenty-five irregular HSC examinees from Manikganj Government Women's College had to take part in the ICT examination with wrong question paper at Government Debendra College centre in the town on Monday.
They were to attend the examination according to the old (2014-15 academic year) syllabus but they were given the question paper of the new (2016-17 year) syllabus.
Seeking remedy, the students yesterday submitted a complaint to the controller of examinations of Dhaka Education Board through Manikganj Deputy Commissioner Md Nazmus Sadat Selim, the official said.
