BAU scientists tell conference

The veterenians still have a long way to go to meet the daily nutrition demand of the poor people in the country, said scientists.

They said this on Saturday at a two-day conference of scientists at Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin auditorium of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU).

Malnutrition is a great challenge for any sustainable development and active human resources, there is no alternative to ensure good health with required nutrition, said the veterinary scientists.

Bangladesh Society for Veterinary Education and Research (BSVER) at BAU organised its 24th conference titled “Agamir Veterinary Shikkha O Bangladesh” (Future veterinary education and Bangladesh).

They also urged the veterinary scientists to go for relentless efforts to support human beings and livestock.

Prof Dr Md Ali Akbar, vice-chancellor of BAU was the chief guest with BSVER's acting president Prof Dr Md Shahidur Rahman Khan in the chair.

Researchers and veterinary graduates of the university also joined the programme.
