3 DU students testify over BCL harassment

Three Dhaka University students yesterday testified before the university authorities over the harassment of some female students by Bangladesh Chhatra League activists during the January 15 demonstration.

The students, who demonstrated on that day, also gave testimonies and placed some evidence of the incident at the office of Rokeya Hall Provost Prof Zinat Huda.

On January 15, BCL activists foiled a demonstration by the DU students and harassed some female students. The students were demonstrating demanding that the university cancel its affiliation with seven colleges in the capital.

Contacted, Assistant Proctor Abu Hossain Muhammad Ahsan said they would take actions after scrutinising the data the students gave.
