The 47th International Annual Conference of Bangladesh Itihas Parishad will be held at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University today.

Distinguished historians, experts, university professors and researchers from home and abroad will disseminate essays during the conference. A seminar on “Bangla Bhashar Sthanio Itihas Charcha” (The practice of local history in Bangla language) will be held, according to an invitation letter sent to this newspaper.

University Grants Commission Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan will inaugurate the conference at 10:00am while Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon is expected to attend the ceremony as chief guest, it added.
