Profligate booters held by Bhutan

Bangladesh wasted a number of chances as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Bhutan in the first leg of the Asian Cup Qualifying Playoff at the Bangabandhu National Stadium today.
Striker Shakhawat Hossain Rony fluffed three excellent opportunities while the others also joined in the part of profligacy as the hosts failed to breach the Bhutan goal and frustrate a couple of thousand spectators who had gathered at the Big Bowl.
The second leg of the playoff will be held in Thimphu on October 10. The winners on aggregate will progress through to the final round of the qualifying stage of the 24-team finals of Asian Cup, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates in 2019.
