Elegant options for Eid!

New clothes are a staple for Eid, and it is the easiest way to put some much-needed vigour and excitement for this special occasion. Designers are always trying to come up with fresh, new silhouettes, designs, cuts and shapes to indulge every whim, every fancy of women everywhere.
And Eid is a major occasion for them to think outside the box, to put something special and unique to titillate and tantalise our hearts, God bless our tender souls!
This year is no different. We are still in the thick of summer, and Mother Nature is not showing any mercy. Temperatures are at an all-time high, which makes dressing up a bit tricky, per usual. During this time of the year, mornings and a better part of the day is usually spent at home by most women, sorting out the meaty affair! So dressing up in brand-new Eid garb is reserved for the night.
For the day a simple kameez in a floral print looks fresh and will keep one cool. When paired with roomy palazzo pants, they become the epitome of style and comfort.
Blue is a fresh hue that is bound to make hot days bright and easy. Simple, subtle embroidery around the neck and sleeves or a bit of pearly lace adds the right touch to such relaxed ensemble. A bit of tinted moisturiser, some pretty peach blush and a hint of sweet pink gloss will complete the look.

The mercury levels barely drop at night, but Eid means one wants to dress up in festive finery.
However, the new shape of kurtas and kameezes are such that the sweltering heat outside will be the last thing on one's mind. They have been given a roomy, flared avatar, which makes them breezy and comfortable. Sherwani-style collar is a perennial favorite, and is very appropriate, elegant choice for evening soirees.
Jacket-style long kurtas with rich, heavy embroidery adds glamour and panache to one's Eid ensemble, and brings in the right spirit. At night it is okay to indulge and go for rich colors like black and maroon. Sharara-pants are all the rage now, and it looks fabulous when worn with a fitted, Sherwani-style kameez.
It provides a wonderful balance of shape, making the upper part of the body shapely and slim. For nighttime one needs to up the ante when it comes to makeup. A smoky eye in rich shades of brown and grey will look fabulous, and contoured cheeks and a deep shade of lipstick will put the right finishing touches. With these ideas you are bound to make an elegant statement while keeping cool this Eid!
